Here's a trip report to read while you're nursing that Cold Duck champagne, and Old Milwaukee hangover .........


Last Sunday, the Jolly Rogers 2 took Pres Jimmy Carter for a day of fishing for grouper off the Hatch. The JR2 left the dock with Pres Carter, his wife, a couple grandchildren with spouses, a photographer and journalist, along with a couple strapped Secret Service agents. Flanking each side of the JR2 was an RIB (rigid inflatable boats) manned by USCG personnel, and more Secret Service. Finally following a quarter mile behind was the Yankeetown USCG cutter, 50 cal machine gun ready to go to action on any hook and liners named Abdullah in a 23' Bayliner.

Despite needing to be back to the dock by 3PM. The Pres successfully slayed 23 grouper, not bad for a 3/4 day. A fish fry with live music was held at the Landings later that night.

So in 2002 the JR2 took ????, an iconic figure in modern sports (I'll tell you if Spear One lets me ). In 2003 the JR2 took the ex- pres of the freakin' USA!! If it's good enough for them, it sure as hell is good enough for you!! Let's go diving, happy new year.
