*Shooter Dan and zds3488 who took spots on the charter that two unnamed Spearboard members bailed out on last minute ( although no getting woken up by plaintive moans at 430AM ). You guys missed out bigtime! Shooter Dan was also the trip photographer, and will probably inundate this thread with lots of good pictures.
*zds3488's mom whose trays of awesome homemade brownies and pound cake insured that the crew worked at a near insulin coma.



Sea Conditions
*Water temps varied from 60-64 degrees.
*Vis averaged about 50' with no currents.
*Seas never got above 1' with sunny skies, and air temps that allowed you to hang out on the boat shirtless with your wetsuit pulled down to your waist, in January no less.


Slaying
This is getting to be like a broken record. Jolly Rogers 2 does overnight trip off of Steinhatchee. Divers shoot mass quantities of fish limiting out halfway through the trip. Divers are tempted cruelly during the last couple of dives as monster gags, jacks, and hogfish swim by unmolested.

The last spot of the day this morning was on a rockpile around the size of a football field that we triple backdove. On the last drop the only thing left to shoot on our limit were mangos and triggerfish. Before surfacing I had counted eighteen gags, and thirty eight hogfish that I could have shot. This is after two sets of divers had already dove the same spot in less than two hours. Insane!

Another fantastic trip, with a great set of guys. I'm sure that I speak on behalf of Jim that it was a pleasure taking all of you out this weekend. It's almost as much fun watching people come up from some of these dives as it it is doing it yourself.............well, not that much more . Standing by.
